Smoothies
Blueberry Chocolate Oatmeal 1/2 cup Old fashioned Oats 3/4 cup blueberries (fresh or frozen) 1 Tbls Dark chocolate chips 1.5 cups Fat Free Milk Splenda or Sugar-Free Fat-Free Jell-0 Mix to taste
Cook oatmeal as prescribed, mix in remaining ingredients and enjoy! Kashi Waffles with 2 cups of fat free milk Spread 1 tablespoon of peanut butter on 2 Kashi whole wheat waffles and top with sugar free syrup Eat with one serving of your favorite fruit Wheat/Oatmeal Pancakes If your not a big breakfast eater try one of these 1/2 cup quick cooking oats 1/2 cup skim milk 1/2 cup buttermilk or 1/2 cup milk with tsp of 2 eggs whites 1 tbsp canola or olive oil 2 tbsp brown sugar 1/2 tsp salt 1 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp baking soda 1 cup whole wheat flour 1 tsp cinnamon 1/2 c almond or walnuts 2 tbsp dark chocolate chips 3 tbsp ground flax seed
In a medium bowl mix together the oat, milk, and buttermilk. Beat in the egg whites and oil until well mixed. Add the cinnamon, sugar, salt, and mix. Add the baking powder, baking soda, and flour. Fold mixture only until moist. Fold in the nuts, chocolate chips, and flax meal. Spray a griddle with cooking spray and heat to approx. 375 degrees (medium high). Scoop out a heaping soup spoon and a half worth of batter for each pancake. Cook to desired firmness. These are thick pancakes so make sure to leave them cooking long enough to cook the center. Savory Breakfast Potatoes 1 Tsp olive oil 1 potato cubed 1/4 green bell pepper chopped 1/3 Onion chopped 1/4 tsp garlic salt Szeged Brand Chicken Rub or Steak Rub or your favorite Heat oil in non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add potato and cover. Cook until tender about 8 to 10 minutes stirring occasionally to prevent sticking. Add remaining ingredients, mix. Cook until potatoes and vegetables are browned. Turkey Sausage Egg Scramble 6 egg whites 1 low fat turkey sausage boiled and chopped 4 oz Monterrey jack cheese 1/4 green onion chopped 2 mushrooms chopped
Cook mushrooms and green onion until browned. Remove from the pan and place aside in a separate boil. Cook the egg whites until just before done. Add the mushrooms, green onions back along with the cheese and turkey sausage. Cook until cheese is melted.
